Origins of Timbo's Transport
Timbo's Transport began in 2012 when Tim Petrovic (aka Timbo), found himself seeking a new career. With a background in logistics as well as experience in sales, the original idea was to handle small local moves within Waterloo Region and the surrounding area. Thanks to an influx of special requests for long distance service, he realized that there was a market for a mover who handled small long distance moves well. The larger moving companies are focused on whole house or larger moves, and tend to not do a good job with the smaller moves. Thus began a steady stream of long distance moves between Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and London, along with other destinations along the 401 corridor.
Who is "Timbo"?
The simplest explanation is that "Timbo" is Tim Petrovic, the owner and President of Timbo's Transport. The name "Timbo" was a college nickname derived from the total non-resemblance to the mixed martial arts fighter Kimbo Slice. Tim has always been a big fan of alliteration, and so when founding the company, Timbo's Transport was a natural fit for a name that people would remember.
